Owner, founder, and Chief Difference Maker of KKPR Marketing and Public Relations Inc., Katrina is no stranger to taking initiative. She launched her company at twenty-three years old which led to multiple awards, over fifteen years of dedicated marketing for her 235 clients, and the launch of several other companies as well, including Lacquer Nail Bar and Chick’s Cleaning. She was also awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year before she even reached thirty. However, if you ask her what her greatest accomplishment has been thus far, Katrina will tell you that it was learning to stand tall in the face of failure.

“In business – and in life -,” Katrina says, “we tend to not be able to let go of or admit to our failures.” Failures can be painful, but they are stepping stones that lead us to victory. When it comes to these growing pains so to speak, this business savvy woman has attained a positive perspective. “I don’t consider it a failure to have had a vision and worked hard to see it come to life, even if for whatever reason it didn’t work out. I have learned the most valuable lessons from each one of those experiences and they make me who I am today. ”

Katrina has always been gifted when it comes to writing, and helping people and businesses grow. She has lectured at a variety of speaking engagements, and was even offered a book deal at 28 years old. However, at that time KKPR was expanding by 67% per year, so she had to put that dream temporarily on hold to continue to foster her growing business.

Don’t get it twisted though- Katrina is still creating. Now that she’s ready to tackle the writing world, Katrina is working on a series of business coaching books with a focus on helping others tap into their potential to turn ideas into reality. Her inspiration in life is kindness, which is what drives her to encourage people to dream big and make moves. Katrina’s mistakes and victories have taught her that, as she says, “in order to be successful, you just have to do more of what makes you happy.”
